Dear HPN pray-ers,
It’s July and LA is just starting to get warm! There is so much to pray for in Hollywood this month. We hope you’re creative and courageous enough to take the requests below and ask the Lord for MIRACLES in the world’s most influential mission field! We are thankful for your commitment to pray!
SUMMARY:
• Praise God for 89 year old actress, Jane Russell and her faith
• Praise God that so many of you responded to be an intercessor for HPN
• Let’s continue to pray for Lindsay Lohan as she serves time

PRAISES:
• Let’s praise God for Jane Russell, who is 89 years old and loves the Lord. This wonderful actress and follower of Jesus has remained bold in her faith for decades after she became a Christian through a ministry out of Hollywood Presbyterian Church in the 1960s. Let’s ask the Lord to continue to use Jane as a Godly influence in the lives of the people in her life and in our industry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Russell
• Praise God that so many of you responded to be an intercessor for the Act One students who are in training this summer to be film and TV writers. Thank you so much. If any of you want to be an intercessor for a Christian professional in Hollywood please email Caren@hpnemail.org. We ALWAYS need MALE INTERCESSORS! And actually, this month we need more women entertainment professionals. HPN has FEMALE intercessors who are waiting for a professional to pray for as their media missionary. Any female pros, would you email Caren (above) and we’ll match you with a prayer warrior to pray just for you.
UPDATES:
• Let’s continue to pray for Lindsay Lohan, as she has been sentenced to 90 days in prison for breaking her parole. It’s not clear how long she will actually serve, but may the Lord reach her in a personal and powerful way while she is serving time. May prison be the place she finally gets free!

REQUESTS:
• Let’s pray for Tom Cruise and his commitment to Scientology. His latest film, “Valkyrie” flopped and so we ask that Tom discovers Jesus as he deals with yet another disappointment in his life and career. God has a plan for Tom, so let’s ask Him to transform Tom into the man whom He has always intended him to be.
• We need to be praying for Mel Gibson and his ex-girl friend (and mother of his new child), Oksana Grigorieva. They are both struggling people who need to experience the intimate love, care and healing of the Lord. May our prayers make a way for God’s love to touch their hearts deeply and open the door for the miraculous in their lives. God is a God of miracles!
• As the July summer films are released, let’s pray for the people involved in each one, either on the screen or behind the camera. There are thousands of people on any given film. As we lift them up and ask the Lord to touch their lives, we will

Here are eight ways to pray:
1. May these people meet solid Christians so that they will be exposed to the Gospel through a friend or a co-worker.
2. May the professionals in Hollywood experience hunger for the TRUTH of God and His love for them.
3. May they not settle for the lies of false religions as they seek for spiritual truth in their lives. Let them see how empty al false religions are.
4. May the industry professionals be delivered from their addictions; drugs, alcohol, lying, sex, pornography, gambling, and the false high of fame and wealth.
5. May they not define themselves by their credits and success but by who they are in God¹s eyes.
6. May the Jews seek miraculous signs and may the Gentiles seek wisdom in order to fall in love with Jesus.
7. May the fragile and wounded people in the industry find healing from bondage, hurt, self-destruction, loneliness, difficult backgrounds, etc.
8. May God reveal Himself to the people who have worked on all of these films so that there will be a miraculous surge of people following Jesus in Hollywood.

Let’s pray for Gladys, her chapter, and all that God has in store for the entertainment pros in that city.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
• Friday, August 20th is HPN’s ALL DAY OF WORSHIP. Christian Industry professionals from around the city are gathering just to worship God, as we pursue our careers and lives as Christians in Hollywood. May that day bring breakthrough for the Christian community of professionals in Hollywood. Will you mark down the date and take that day to Fast and Worship God with us? We’ll send out an update on how to be preparing, so join us, either in person or virtually!
