UPDATES:
- The National Media Prayer Breakfast has been postponed. There has been no date set for 2009 until funding can be found. MasterMedia International has had to postpone the event due to the recent national financial crisis resulting in the loss of some key donors for the breakfast. They are committed to book another breakfast as soon as possible. Let's pray that the finances will come in time for a 2009 gathering!
- Keep praying for the SAG negotiations as the union fights within between those who want a strike and those who will not support an actors' strike. Only God can bring peace to this emotional issue. The internal division between studio executives and the potential strike will bring devastation to our industry.
REQUESTS:
- Pray for John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their family in the loss of their 16-year-old son Jett. They were vacationing and Jett had the last of recurring seizures from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease. May the Lord touch The Travolta family, shake their Scientology beliefs and reveal the truth of Him and His comforting Gospel during this life crisis.
- The 25th Annual Sundance Film Festival (which was founded by Robert Redford) is coming up on Jan. 15 - 25, 2009 in Park City, Utah. It's a very important Festival for producers and studios to find independent films to buy and distribute. Please pray for the many Christians who are going to the Festival with the purpose of praying for the decision-makers and stars who attend. These believers attempt to reach out to the filmmakers through seminars, casual gatherings, and even church services. It's a great place to share the Lord through convers ations and service to the hundreds of filmmakers who attend.
- The Golden Globe Awards are over and the industry is preparing for the Academy Awards on February 22, 2009. The nominations come out on January 22nd so it's a tense time in Hollywood. Please pray that the stress, excitement and devastation of these awards will lead the actors, writers, directors, editors, producers, composers, designers, cast and crews to come to know the lasting peace, joy and success that only comes from Jesus! - The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) are gathering for their annual Convention & Exposition on February 7 - 10, 2009 in Nashville, TN. Please pray that these bradcasters will lift up the Lord, challenge one another to be culturally relevant and that corporately and indi vidually they will ake an eternal difference through their work in the media. - Please pray for Rhonda and Kathlee Roscoe and the human sex trafficking travesty around the worl d. The Roscoe's are still shooting and editing footage, and needing to raise more financing. Let's start this New Year with prayer for those in this hopeless captivity.

- The 15th Annual City of the Angels Film Festival will be at the Directors Guild, February 27 - March 1, 2009. And the winners of the Reel Spirituality and LAFSC awards will screen at the Festival.
