Angus started his film career as a production runner at 14 years of age. At the age of 16, he got his first agent, then four years later, completed the “Actor Prepares” course at Sydney‟s Actors‟ Centre. Straight out of acting school, he landed the lead role as Lex in an Australian feature film, Lex and Rory. He then went on to a regular role in the Australian TV soap series E- Street. Angus has had several lead roles in TV commercials both in NZ and Australia. He recently worked on two television pilots screened on TV2 (“Oswald Gold: Australia‟s #1 Self-Improvement Expert “ and “Liberation Force”), as well as on the 48-hour Film Challenge, in which he won Best Actor in the Christchurch finals in 2005. Angus has also worked extensively behind the camera as a producer, director and screenwriter and has produced and shot several local and national TV commercials. He advanced to the Second Round Division in the Austin Film Festival for one of his original un-produced screenplays entitled Motorvation. Angus co-produced (and was 2nd unit director) on the feature film Meet me in Miami that is now being released through the US via the “Lift up America” charity campaign. In 2006/7 Angus co-directed, acted and produced the feature film “Wait up Harriet” that was shot in just 10 days, the film is being released via DVD in the US by Echelon Studios in January 2008 and theatrically in New Zealand. It is also being released on Cable channels through out the world. In April 2008 Angus spoke at the Gideon film conference in North Carolina, one of the two international guest at this prestigious event with the other speakers include the creator of Movie Guide.org, the producer of Amazing Grace and the creator of Veggie Tales. In conjunction to the production side Angus manages the distribution of Feature films through Life films and Life Cinema in New Zealand and has managed such films in theatrical release as “One night with the King‟, and End of the Spear and in 2008 will be releasing the 10 Commandments.
