EVENT PROFILE

THE MISSION

The National Media Prayer Breakfast (NMPB) is an annual Christian event designed to mobilize prayer and spiritual support for leaders of global media, recognize people of faith in media, and reinforce the value of faith in media decision-making.

THE SPONSORSHIP

The NMPB is convened at the call of noted media professionals with a strong commitment to faith and is sponsored by Mastermedia International in alliance with the Hollywood Prayer Network. It is a Christian event open to people of all faiths.

Mastermedia International, founded by Dr. Larry Poland in 1985, is most well known for its production of the Media Leader Prayer Calendar, a guide to praying for the most powerful and influential people in media. The Hollywood Prayer Network, founded by Karen Covell, is a structure linking national prayer movements in a focus on media from Hollywood.

THE VENUE

The event is to be held November 16, 2007 at The Beverly Hilton.

THE SPIRIT OF THE EVENT

The breakfast is neither issues-focused nor political. It is a positive expression of care and support for those leaders of global media who wield tremendous influence, and who have demonstrated their past appreciation for supportive prayer in the decisions they make. While the event is Christian, it will not be used to attack, embarrass, or "convert" attendees from other-faith or non-faith perspectives. There will be no fund solicitation.

EXPLOITATION OF THE EVENT

Attendees are informed that the event is not to be used for career advancement, professional networking, or the exploitation of prominent people in attendance. It is designed as a "level ground" experience of unified calling upon God together.

INVITED GUESTS

Special guests from prominent and visible positions in media are invited to be recognized and to be honored with prayer at the event.

PROGRAM FEATURES

The program will include inspirational music by leading performers, multimedia pieces and greetings, personal expressions of faith, and significant prayer. Attendees will be involved in creative, yet restrained, ways in the prayer experience.
